A FOX News correspondent laid out a pro-wrestling style “ultimatum” to a union protestor who assaulted him in Michigan.
Steven Crowder challenged a man who sucker punched him at a right-to-work rally in Michigan to an MMA fight. If the protestor comes forward, Crowder said, he can either be arrested or meet him in a cage for a mixed martial arts bout.
“I’m issuing an ultimatum right now,” Crowder said FOX’s “Hannity.” “They are trying to find this man who assaulted me, find this man who assaulted other people. You have a choice. You can come forward, I’ll press charges, you’ll go to jail. Or we can host a bout in a sanctioned, legalized MMA competition where the winner will get the money to go to the charity of his choice.”
Crowder was reporting live earlier this week from a Michigan rally when the man became out of control, blindsiding him with punches. Crowder pushed back, but they were separated.
The journalist is now hoping that only a referee will be in the way of him and the man who clocked him. Crowder promised that he would match all the money raised to prosecute the man and donate it to the union of his choice – if he wins the fight.
“It’s your choice – jail or face me one-on-one like a man,” Crowder said.
