Bellator had one of its most action-packed shows Thursday night marked by thrilling fights and wild knockouts.

Doug Marshall might have owned things, though, with a one-punch KO of Andreas Spang in the quarterfinals of Bellator’s season eight middleweight tournament in Charlotte, N.C. At 3:03 of the first round, Marshall swung wildly and connected with a right hand, sending Spang spinning and straight down. Marshall knew the fight was over immediately – almost like a walk-off punch.

As good as he looked, Marshall might not be the favorite in the middleweight tournament. Dan Cramer won a war over Brian Rogers and Brett Cooper looked execptional in beating Norman Paraisy. Sultan Aliev defeated Mikkel Parlo in the other quarterfinal.

In the main event, Eduardo Dantas retained his bantamweight title by knocking out Marco Galvao in the second round. It was another great fight and impressive KO.
