French combo guard Marine Johannès will rejoin the New York Liberty this summer.
The reigning WNBA champions announced Friday afternoon that they re-signed Johannès.
It’s a one-year deal worth $78,831, a source told The Post.
In a statement, general manager Jonathan Kolb said re-upping Johannès is a “special opportunity” because of her belief in the team’s vision since her arrival in 2019.
“Marine’s floor spacing and dynamic ability to create scoring opportunities for herself and others will add another dimension to our offense in 2025,” Kolb said.
Johannès’ signing comes just days after the Liberty traded two first-round picks, including No. 7 overall in 2025, to the Sun for Natasha Cloud.

Cloud’s arrival, paired with Johannès’ return, puts the Liberty in position to put up a formidable defense of their 2024 title.
Johannès, 30, was the Liberty’s sixth player in 2023 and helped lead them to the Finals that year.

This will be Johannès fourth season in the WNBA. She joined the Liberty in 2019 but sat out 2020 (opted out of pandemic bubble) and 2021 (Olympics.)
Johannès has started 15 of her 78 WNBA contests, averaging eight points, 2.4 assists and 1.6 rebounds while shooting 43.7 percent from the field and 39.5% from deep.
