A legendary broadcaster has beaten cancer.
Jim Ross, a WWE Hall of Famer who is now an announcer for upstart rival AEW, announced on Twitter Wednesday that he has beaten cancer and is returning to television.
Ross had announced in November that he was battling skin cancer.
“Due to my skin cancer care totaling 22 radiation treatments starting Monday, I will hopefully return to the announce desk on December 29 in Jacksonville,” he tweeted at the time. “@TonyKhan supports me on this strategy which has been a blessing. My thanks for all your support.”
Ross, 69, has spent over four decades in professional wrestling. He was the voice of WWE during the fabled Attitude Era, and joined AEW as a broadcaster and senior adviser in 2019.
