Mandy Rose has made her first public comments since her WWE release.

Rose, who had been with WWE since 2015 and had been NXT women’s champion for over 400 days prior to Tuesday night, was released by WWE on Wednesday after posting racy photos and videos on her FanTime page, a platform similar to OnlyFans.

“Hey guys, thank you for all the messages,” Rose wrote on her FanTime page, as covered by the wrestling site Inside the Ropes. “I am overwhelmed with all the love and support from you guys. And don’t worry the page is still up! ;)”

In recent days, Rose posted intimate photos in the shower with her fiancé, Tino Sabbatelli. She also posted a video of herself skinny dipping. The recent content on her page, which costs $40 per month for subscribers, ranged somewhere between R- and X-rated.

Wrestlers and other on-air performers in WWE gain notoriety and enormous social media followings as a result of their positions, which opens up myriad endorsement opportunities and other avenues to conduct business.

For the past several years, WWE has sought to clamp down on performers doing their own business with third parties, insisting that all third-party deals go through WWE first and threatening discipline up to and including termination to those that do not abide.

In November 2020, Zelina Vega was released from WWE after creating an OnlyFans account — which did not have content as provocative as Rose’s — but she was brought back the following summer.

It was stunning turn in the storyline on Tuesday night when Rose dropped the NXT women’s belt to Roxanne Perez — title reigns, especially ones that long, typically conclude on pay-per-view rather than on standard television. The development made more sense on Wednesday morning with the news of Rose’s release.
