It looks like Nike could have some competition when it comes to Zion Williamson.

Williamson, who is widely expected to be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, went on Instagram Live on Wednesday in which he was playing videos in Adidas gear. The Duke star suffered a Grade 1 knee sprain against rival North Carolina on Feb. 20 when his Nike sneaker exploded.

Nike signed LeBron James to a massive shoe contract when he entered the NBA and many believe Williamson could command a similar deal. Plus, Duke is affiliated with the Swoosh.

But, according to The Spun, Adidas actually could be the favorite to sign the 6-foot-7, 285-pound forward, who played for an Adidas-sponsored AAU team in high school. Williamson’s high school team also was sponsored by the three stripes brand.

So when will Williamson play next?

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said after his Blue Devils nipped Wake Forest Tuesday night that he doesn’t believe his star freshman will be back for the regular-season finale at No. 3 North Carolina on Saturday night. But Coach K also added that he would “be surprised if he wasn’t ready by the ACC Tournament.”

Williamson has missed four consecutive games since the injury. Duke is 3-1 without him, but that doesn’t include the loss they suffered against the Tar Heels when he got injured just 36 seconds into the game.
