Apple fans, get ready for the most anticipated launch of the year.
The gadget maker known for re-inventing the smartphone and creating the tablet sector is gearing up for a product launch on Tuesday that is widely expected to lead to the unveiling of two new iPhones and a brand-new wearable device — most likely a smartwatch.
The event is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. EDT.
Apple is notoriously tight-lipped before product launches, but leaks from suppliers and others suggest the Cupertino, Calif., company will unveil an iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch screen, larger than its current 4-inch size. Apple may also launch a “phablet” phone with a 5.5-inch screen.
Both phones are expected to come with scratch-resistant Sapphire glass, and a chip that will allow folks to use their phones as a wallet.
Apple is also expected to launch a watch that will track users’ health and connect to its new health tracking app, HealthKit.
