In light of recent headline-making events, it’s probably only a matter of minutes before DLCs featuring Navy SEALs helicoptering in to storm an enemy compound and kill a terrorist leader – all within a 40-minute time frame – start flooding the market . Until then, there’s the new “Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation” content pack, now available on Xbox Live.

This DLC has four new multiplayer maps and what Activision is calling an “unprecedented Zombie experience” featuring the vocals/visuals of horror-genre faves George A. Romero, Robert Englund, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michael Rooker and Danny Trejo, as well as an original song by metal act Avenged Sevenfold (called “Not Ready to Die”).

Here’s what you’ll get in the “Escalation” DLC:

•“Hotel”: set on the roof of a Cuban luxury hotel and casino with the backdrop of old Havana

•“Convoy”: intense, close-quarters combat at the scene of an ambushed U.S. military convoy

•“Zoo”: a ride through an spooky, abandoned Soviet Russian Zoo with danger everywhere

•“Stockpile”: set in a remote Russian farm town that houses secret WMD facilities

• “Call of the Dead”: Zombietown, Siberia. (Watch the video below for a preview – you won’t regret it.)

“Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation” will run you 1,200 Microsoft Points.
