HQ Trivia has named controversial co-founder Colin Kroll its new chief executive as the mobile app looks to branch into new games.

Kroll will be taking the helm of the year-old startup from co-founder Rus Yusupov, who will take over as the company’s chief creative officer, according to Digiday.

Kroll was fired by Twitter in early 2014 for being a “bad manager” after the company acquired his startup Vine, Recode reported in December, citing numerous former female colleagues who said his behavior made them feel uncomfortable.

The site noted, however, that it was not aware of any sexual harassment complaints filed with Twitter about Kroll.

Earlier this year, Kroll apologized for saying things in the workplace “that made some people feel unappreciated or uncomfortable.”
