I got to sit down with Dark Sector a while ago. I enjoyed it, but I fear that it might fall into the same trap as many post-Gears Of War third-person shooters.

Namely, that you’ll be surrounded by a ton of bad guys all the time and need to hide like a little girl to get through certain areas. And worse, that hiding like a little girl during firefights is peddled as strategy when in reality, you have to hide or you get murderized.

It’s pretty, and the weapons gimmicks are fun, but…I’ll shut up now since I haven’t played the finished product.
