Good news for EA. It seems that “Dead Space,” which finally hits stores on Oct. 14 for Xbox 360 and PS3 (PC gets it on Oct. 20), has gone gold in pre-orders.

Good news for you. Buy the game within the first two weeks of release (360 and PS3 only) and you’ll be able to download a platform exclusive suit via XBL (the Elite Suit) and PSN (Obsidian Suit). Which you can then muck up with all the maiming and the horroring that you do during the game. Both suits will have increased toughness and inventory slots for added survival.

More good news for 360 players. The EA Store has 1,000 copies of “Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition.” For a mere $150, you’ll get the game, an animated movie on DVD, a bonus content on DVD, art book and a 160-page graphic novel, an exclusive autographed lithograph (by Ben Templesmith) and a lovely Ishimura crew patch.
