I swear, anytime I see or hear new details about “Mass Effect 2,” I get super excited. Needless to say, the fact that “Dragon Age: Origins” discs come loaded with a free download of a special Blood Dragon Armor makes me…well, yeah…super excited too.
Check out this trailer for the armor below – it looks awesome on Shepard. And, most likely, will be the reason why I’ll dabble a little in the newly released “Dragon Age: Origins,” even though I much prefer guns and grenades to swords and shields. By the by, new copies of “Dragon Age” also come with a code for a downloadable Dragon Age character (Shale) and quest which expires on April 30, 2010. So don’t dilly-dally. Buy now, download now, play now.
And, here’s the latest about “ME2”:
Coming Jan. 26, you’ll be able to buy a Collector’s Edition of the game, which comes in a tin case and includes the game (obv), a 48-page hardcover “Art of Mass Effect 2” book, issue 1 of the “Mass Effect Redemption” comic and a behind-the-scenes DVD. But that’s not all folks! The CE also comes with its own, unique in-game weapons and armor.
Fortunately this collector’s edition will retail for $69.99 on Xbox 360 ($59.99 on PC), so if you’re only interested in the special downloadables, that additional 10 bucks is probably about how much you would’ve spent buying the extras on XBL.
Which begs the question: How do you all feel about being forced to spend extra on expensive collector’s editions of games just to get special downloadables?
