What if you could use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to control real people? Make a living person jump, nod, serve ice cream, yawn…

That’s sort of the premise behind the inaugural Nintendo Short Cuts Showcase winner’s chortle-worthy short film. (Yes, some of those laughs are from the fact that just watching someone use the Wii is inherently funny.)

Congrats, Jack Paccione Jr. of Staten Island (in the house), for it was announced today that your “Good vs. Wiivil” short is the one that won the contest! And now you are $10,000 richer and getting a public screening of your masterpiece during the Tribeca Drive-In Short Film Series at Top of the Rock this summer!

Notice how the Good Guy carefully puts the Wii Remote strap around his wrist, while the Wiivil Guy doesn’t. Because he’s Wiivil. Wiiiiivil.

Personally, I’d have given the gold to the third place winner, Nintendo Office. And not just because I’m a cubicle drone. (Lie! That’s totally the reason. Cube solidarity!)
