Who you gonna call? GameStoppers!

Yeah, yeah. You hate GameStop. But, if you like/love the “Grand Theft Auto” franchise, you’ll have to suck it up. They’re putting on a national text-to-win contest to celebrate the launch of “GTA IV” on April 29.

Now through April 15, visit the GameStop site to get a contest question (and sign up for “exclusive insider info” about the game). Text in the answer to the question for a chance at winning up to 10 grand and a trip to “Liberty City” – obviously the NYC. Boo yeah.

Four (4) national winners will be selected at random from all correct mobile and online entries. They’ll get:

·Roundtrip airfare and ground transportation to “Liberty City” for themselves and a guest (if you’re already from NYC, shrug)

·One hotel room for two nights

·Two gift bags courtesy of GameStop and Grand Theft Auto IV

·Two hundred and fifty dollars ($250) in spending money

·One key to open a lock box at the April 28th launch event

Then, day before launch, the winners will meet up at the GameStop in Herald Square (the flagship – didn’t know that) to see if their key opens Niko’s Lock Box, containing 38 unmarked envelopes with awards from $100 to $10,000.

AND. Here’s something for the locals. From April 1 to 27, GameStop is also dropping red key chains in select stores throughout the city. Get a key chain, call a local telephone number, get further instruction on how to gain access to GameStop’s GTA IV launch event in “Liberty City” on April 28, 2008.

For official rules blah blah, hit it.
