The same fellow behind some absolutely stunning video game-to-life work, Harrison Krix, has created a full scale replica of the Laser Rifle from Fallout 3.

Like Krix’s other work (a remarkable, wearable version of Bioshock’s Big Daddy suit, for example) it’s awe-inspiring. I say that not just because I’m a huge fan of Fallout, but because one really has to admire the kind of dedication making something like this takes. I spent half my youth building models and the other half trying to blow them up, but I never got anywhere near this level.

Maybe it was all the fumes from the modeling glue…
