IGN UK recently wrote up a trip report detailing their time with Deep Silver & Techland’s upcoming horror game. It sounds, frankly, phenomenal — especially since it’s a well-known fact that I’ll play and probably love anything with zombies in it.

A realistic approach to the genre? No running and gunning? Brutal combat? Sign me up.

What I did not expect was the gut-wrenching, heartbreaking trailer where we watch a family, and specifically a little girl, suffer the undead onslaught.

The trailer actually made me feel something. No small feat.

The game doesn’t have a release date yet, but I’m officially eager to see it up close. Especially if it can deliver on an emotional level.
