Having spent the greater part of last night watching the forthcoming “Family Guy: Blue Harvest” DVD (their parody of “Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope”), special features included, I fully appreciate the post below this one.

In case you are a little more excited about the prospect of seeing ol’ Yoda and Darth in “Soul Calibur IV” (out this summer) than some people are, here’s a bit more info for ya.

Both Yoda and Darth Vader will have lightsabers and Force powers, but they probably won’t be part of the game’s actual storyline. Other characters from the Star Wars world might pop up in the game as well.

Here’s the rub: Darth and Yoda are console-exclusive. Yes, that’s right. Darth will be the sole domain of PS3 users, while the Xbox 360 gets Yoda. This makes sense, as we’ve long maintained that the PS3 looks like Darth Vader’s helmet and Yoda is kinda close to the shade of green that the Xbox 360 favors.

Sadly, there’s no word on whether or not Darth can go to the Xbox 360-side or Yoda to the PS3-side via downloadable content on Xbox Live or the Playstation Network. Poo to them with knobs on!
