Quick bites of recent gaming news, starting with Microsoft’s announcement that K
inect support of Netflix is now up and running, which means 360 users who’ve gone all motion-control on their consoles can now control Netflix’s instant watch TV shows and movies with the flick of a hand or the sound of their voice (“Xbox play!” starts the videos up).

Meanwhile, Ubisoft’s “Michael Jackson: The Experience” game is now available for Xbox 360 Kinect and PS3 Move. (The Wii version has been out for months already.) In addition to all the dancing moves, the Xbox version of the game features a singing mode via the Kinect’s built-in microphone. Meanwhile, the PS3 version lets you upload a photo of yourself playing the game directly to Facebook.

EA Sports and ESPN have announced that the two finalists for the “Madden NFL 12” cover vote campaign have been narrowed down to Peyton Hillis (RB, Cleveland Browns) and Michael Vick (QB, Philadelphia Eagles). For your last chance at picking who’ll grace the cover of the game, which launches Aug. 30, click here. The winner will be announced on April 27.

Wii users who haven’t already run out and gotten “Wii Sports Resort” (featuring the Wii MotionPlus attachment) or “Wii Party,” there’s no excuses now: Starting April 25, each game will retail for $39.99 – a markdown of 10 bucks.

SEGA has announced “Sonic Generations,” celebrating the blue hedgehog’s 20th anniversary. This game – for Xbox 360 and PS3 – has you playing as either the original 2D 1991 character or the 3D modern day version. Classic Sonic has his special Spin Dash and Spin Attack moves, while modern Sonic has the Homing Attack and Sonic Boost. The game is due in stores this holiday.
