Nickelodeon, bastion of all things kid-oriented (and purveyor of awesome sitcoms like Roseanne at night) are releasing two new iPad apps.

The first — Dora the Explorer Coloring Adventures ($4.99) — is aimed squarely at youngins.

It’s an adventure based around coloring. Kids are given a black & white image, then pick stickers to layer over that, and a nice palette of crayons to choose from.

I’m sure it’s pretty handy on long drives.

The second app is Shockwave.com’s Daily Jigsaw, which is priced at $.99.

As the name suggests, users can download a new hi-res puzzle every day complete with nuggets of information about the photo submitted by Shockwave.com members.
