Since it’s the sequel to 2007’s “Battlestations: Midway” game, “Pacific” picks up where “Midway” left off: with players sorting out WWII’s Pacific conflict via action-packed combat and strategic warfare. The historically accurate US campaign puts you in charge of the US fleet during the Battle of Midway to Okinawa oooooor you could play as the Japanese and take control of the Imperial Japanese fleet and fight at Pearl Harbor, before attempting to change the course of history. There’s also an online battle mode and enhanced multiplayer, with five new co-op and team-based modes.

For diehard fans, there’s the newly launched Battlestations.net, with news, screens and movies about the game, alongside developer blogs, podcasts, exclusive website competitions and Eidos-hosted Battlestations: Midway multiplayer sessions.

“Battlestations: Pacific” is due for Xbox 360 and PC this spring.
