Here are two robots that know how to get down.
Tobit Sofware showed off the latest version of their pole-dancing robots on the eve of the 2014 CeBIT computer expo in Hanover, Germany, on Sunday. Designed by British artist Giles Walker, the life-size droids are made of old car parts and controlled by a computer, the Daily Mail reports.
They first appeared at the festival in 2012 and cost just over $4,000 to hire. The gyrating duo is just one of many technological marvels on display at this year’s fair, which is the world’s largest.
Highlights of this year’s expo include RoboThespian’s humanoid robot and a smartphone-controlled bionic prosthetic hand.
Established in 1970, this year’s exposition was kicked off Monday by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister David Cameron. CeBit runs until Friday, March 14.
