What’s that, you say? Metallic pink isn’t quite the color that you, as a red-blooded gaming male, want your handheld gaming console to be? It’s embarrassing, you say? Well, what about a red? Is that more manly?

Alrighty then. Sony’s announced that the God of War PSP Entertainment Pack is available for a mere $199.99 today. The handheld console is “deep red” with an image of Kratos silk-screened on the back in white and will be the only time you can get this particular color way in North America.

It also comes with a copy of “God of War: Chains of Olympus,” a UMD of “Superbad” and a download voucher for “Syphon Filter: Combat Ops.”

But, if you are down with metallic pink, like America Ferrera and Carrie Underwood are, later this month, you’ll be able to get your very own Metallic Rose Nintendo DS…without having to buy the Nintendogs bundle! Hurray!

Factoid: the Nintendo DS has sold more than 19.6 million units since being launched in 2004. Meanwhile the PSP has a worldwide install base of nearly 38 million. Huh.
