The organizers of ScreenBurn, which handles the gaming aspect of the South by Southwest Festival, have picked Tall Bike Joust as one of four finalists in the AAA Game Design competition.

We’re happy about this for one big reason: NYC game companies need support.

TBJ itself is, well, all about jousting on big mutant bikes. The game allows for lots of customization, boasts leaderboards, and allows for plenty of communication between jousters. The jousters themselves — and all the animation — was created using motion capture of the Tall Bike Jousting Champion himself, Ryan Doyle.
