Twitter is just seven years old, yet it’s taken over our collective consciousness like dandelions on an untended lawn. The year in tweets brought us some Twitter-only phenomena: your “Sharknado’s”, your “Sound of Music Live’s”; any number of social media-perpetuated hoaxes (Diane in 7A, we hardly knew ye); and, of course, a never-ending stream of celebrity meltdowns and feuds.
