I’ve spent the last week playing Civilization Revolution and not really doing much else with myself – except, you know, that whole ‘earning money at my actual job at The Post‘ thing. Hell, I’ve even unlocked 665 points with of achievements (soon more, if I can get the last damn Great Person).

This is an excellent, stream-lined strategy game for the Xbox 360 that Sid Meier himself programmed the core of. It doesn’t get much better than that. It’s just a superb console addition to the world famous pantheon of Civilization games. And it’s certainly leaps and bounds beyond the nearly-tragic PC port of Supreme Commander (which…yeah…sad).

Easily a B+/A-, with points deducted mainly because your games do have a built in ending after a certain number of turns.

The game is also available on the PS3 & Nintendo DS, though I have not actually delved into those versions.
