The Uber app is going well beyond taxis — with some users now able to get bikes, rental cars, and public transit tickets, company officials announced Wednesday.

CEO Dara Khosrowshahi is in Washington, DC, to tout an expanded app in that city that features dockless bikes operated by Brooklyn-based JUMP, which Uber acquired earlier this week.

The app company will now also offer rental cars options and subway and train ticket sales, said Khosrowshahi.

“Having a greater variety of transportation modes at your fingertips helps make it increasingly easy to live without a car,” he wrote in a blog post on the Uber website. “That’s why we want to provide alternatives to personal car ownership by bringing together multiple modes of transportation right in our app.”

It’s not yet clear if any of these elements will be available for New York City residents any time soon.

JUMP was one of a dozen vendors to present a plan to the city. Department of Transportation officials are weighing the proposals now.

Uber is also partnering with Masabi, a company that allows riders to buy train, subway and bus tickets through the app. Current Masabi cities include Boston, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, but they don’t yet offer MTA tickets. And, for now, the rental car option is only available in San Francisco.
