Seems like I am not alone in not caring that screen shots from “Vampire Rain” kind of look like the unfun that was “Bullet Witch.”

Microsoft’s announced that “Vampire Rain” – due July 3 for the Xbox 360 – has already gone gold. No idea what I’m talking about? Well, it’s the new bloodsucker themed joint that combines stealth, “survival horror” and shooter aspects into a game about a black ops unit secretly trying to eliminate Nightwalkers, a highly evolved new breed of vampire. (Bunch of Buffy wannabes.)

It is, of course, rated M for intense violence and blood and gore.
