Eidos recently released the “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary” edition game, celebrating a decade of Ms. Croft’s accomplishments.
In pointing out how very relevant Lara still is these days, Eidos included a snarky chart comparing “the high-flyers, do-gooders and drop-outs from the class of ’96.” You know they had fun making up some of these status remarks – ouch!
Duke Nukem (Duke Nukem 3D) – Last seen killing mobile aliens…who are NOT wearing bikinis.
Chris Redfield/Jill Valentine (Resident Evil) – Heading toward “extinction” on the silver screen.
Mario 3D (Super Mario 64) – Went Wii Wii Wii Wii all the way home.
Ranger (Quake) – Last seen – 2005.
Heihachi Mishima (Tekken 2) – Finally got a date with Zafina, then got dumped.
Crash Bandicoot – Crated and shipped back to Tasmania.
Tamagotchi – Suffering from a severe case of digital indigestion.
Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) – ’nuff said.
