PARKER, Colo. — Firefighters say at least one person was killed when a small airplane crashed in a neighborhood southeast of Denver.
South Metro Fire Rescue tweeted Friday night that an occupied home in Parker was struck by a large piece of debris, and crews are searching the area for any additional victims. No residents were injured.
Investigators say the Cirrus SR-22 left a large debris field in open space that abuts the neighborhood. It’s not yet clear how many people were on board.
