Ten people under the age of 18 were shot — including one fatally — in an overnight shooting in downtown St. Louis, police said.
The shooting broke out around 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning at 14th and Washington Avenue, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said, according to CBS News 4.

Images from the scene showed police had barricaded off the area near the City Museum parking garage, Levin’s clothing store, and Levels, a Nigerian restaurant.

St. Louis Mayor Tishaura O. Jones spoke on the deadly shooting during a news conference. APPolice have not shared the ages, genders or conditions of the victims. As of Sunday morning, it was also unclear what led to the deadly shooting.
A Homicide Unit has been requested to investigate the incident.
