Ten teenagers were hurt after a shooting at a high school football game in Mobile, Alabama.
Five of those hurt were in critical condition, though none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening according to local NBC15. The shooting took place at the city’s Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
Chief Lawrence L. Battiste IV said that two people has been taken into custody and that the violence likely stemmed from street “beefs.”
“We treat this like an active shooter scenario,” Battiste said according to NBC. “Our guys, when they heard shots rang out, they moved to the area.”
A rep for the Mobile County Public School System denounced the violence.

“It is sad that something like this happened at a high school football game, where our athletes were having a good game on the field,” said Rena Phillips.”We do not know all of the details as this is a Mobile Police investigation, so we will have to refer all further questions to the MPD.”
