A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was struck by multiple stray bullets outside his California home on Sunday, a report said.

The child was playing in front of his Pasadena home at about 3 p.m. when the shooting occured, KABC reported, citing police.

The victim was hospitalized in serious, but stable condition, the report said.

Police are searching for three men last seen in a light-colored sedan. They remained at large hours later.

It was not immediately clear who the intended target was.
