A 12-year-old Texas boy was charged with murder for allegedly shooting his 10-year-old brother dead, officials said.

The unidentified minor was taken into custody Saturday after cops found his sibling with a single gunshot wound to the chest around 2:30 p.m. at a home in Conroe, Texas, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.

The injured child was taken to a local emergency room, where he died.

It’s unclear what led to the shooting. The pre-teen is being held at the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility.
