A small plane crashed into an Ohio car dealership Tuesday morning, killing two people on board the aircraft, authorities said.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a pilot and a passenger sustained fatal injuries when the aircraft they were traveling in crashed into the Pioneer Buick GMC dealership on Pike Street in Marietta shortly after 7:15 a.m.
Authorities reported that no one on the ground was injured, though there was damage to several vehicles and buildings at the dealership.
Eyewitness videos show large plumes of smoke and a fire at the property, as first responders shut down nearby roads to respond to the crash.
The initial investigation revealed that the aircraft was a 1974 Beechcraft King Air E90.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims.
“Our thoughts are with the families,” the City of Marietta wrote alongside a Facebook update that State Route 7 had reopened following the crash.
