The 22-year-old Russian man who beat his ex-girlfriend while she was on a FaceTime call with Barron Trump was convicted of assault in London on Wednesday.

The first son immediately called British police after witnessing the dustup between Matvei Rumiantsev and his former beau, which happened more than a year ago.

Rumiantsev, who admitted he was jealous of his girlfriend’s friendship with Trump, was convicted of assault and perverting the course of justice, because he demanded the victim retract her allegations in a jailhouse letter.

He’s slated to be sentenced on March 27.

Trump called police after he was hung up on, leading to Rumiantsev’s arrest.

“I’m calling from the US, I just got a call from a girl … she’s getting beat up,” Trump told police dispatchers on Jan. 18, 2025.

“It’s really an emergency, please,” he pleaded.

Trump explained that while he was “racing with adrenaline” he saw Rumiantsev on the FaceTime call for “maybe one second.”

“The camera was then flipped to the victim getting hit while crying, stating something in Russian,” he continued.

Rumiantsev’s lawyer argued in court that Trump didn’t know the woman had a boyfriend and cast doubt on how much the president’s son could have witnessed in a few seconds of video.

The defense attorney, Sasha Wass, further claimed that the woman exploited her ties to Trump to make Rumiantsev envious in a “relationship full of dramas.”

Trump, 19, the only child of Donald and Melania Trump, didn’t testify in the case.

His absences from the proceedings led the judge to advise jurors before deliberations that they should treat Trump’s account with caution, since he wasn’t cross-examined.

“If he had done so, no doubt, he could have been asked about things such as whether he ever got a good view of what happened, whether he actually saw (the woman) being assaulted, or jumped to this conclusion on the basis of her screams,” Justice Bennathan said.

“He might also have been asked whether his perception was biased because he was close friends with (her).”

Rumiantsev was acquitted in a different British court of rape and choking the woman on the night Trump called police, as well as of an additional alleged rape and assault that purportedly took place in November 2024.
