PLANO, Texas — Three people died after their SUV went out of control on a Dallas-area freeway and plunged more than 60 feet from an overpass.
Police say the vehicle was on the Bush Turnpike on Saturday evening when its driver lost control, swerved one way over three lanes, then three lanes the other way before rolling over. Then it hit another vehicle and tumbled from the overpass to a parking lot below.
The Texas Department of Public Safety identified those killed as 19-year-old Torneki McMath, 12-year-old Tyreana McMath and 13-year-old Myaa Moore. All lived in Garland.
The DPS said the 28-year-old driver from Garland was conscious and taken to the hospital for treatment. She did not suffer serious injuries.
