He had her at hello!

A mother living in Northern Ireland was surprised to find her baby boy uttering his first word – at only 7-weeks-old. In a 23-second clip, Toni McCann is heard cooing at little Cillian who tries to copy her words. It’s only at the end that the adorable infant manages to put together a short but clear “hello.”

“Cillian had been trying to say something all day,” McCann told the News Letter. “I didn’t think he was going to say it as clearly as he did, but he was really trying to communicate.”

The proud mom shared the video on Facebook, which has now gotten hundreds of thousands of views.

Unfortunately, McCann says Cillian hasn’t been able to repeat his great feat since then, according to The Belfast Telegraph. Babies normally don’t say their first words until close to their first birthday.

Whether his response was precocious imitation or a sign of genius, this little one is probably the cutest thing you’ll see all day.
