PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police say a 7-year-old boy who fell between two moving subway cars has died.
Police say the incident happened Sunday evening on the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority’s Broad Street Line subway in north Philadelphia. Authorities say the boy was selling candy with his 11-year-old brother and a 26-year-old man on the southbound train.
Police say the boy was walking between cars when he slipped and fell onto the tracks. He was pronounced dead.
Service on the Broad Street Line was delayed in both directions between Erie and Girard avenues following the incident.
Authorities say the boys’ parents have been notified. An investigation continues.
