A 7-year-old girl was stabbed to death in her own bed — as her horrified mother and sister looked on, according to a new report.

Melissa Desrosiers had just tucked her daughters Bella Rose, 7, and Lily, 4, into bed on Tuesday night when the mother’s disturbed friend burst into the room with a pair of scissors, Canada’s CBC News reported.

The man — whom Desrosiers had invited to stay at her home in Edmonton because he was having personal issues — allegedly stabbed Bella Rose to death as the mom fled the room with her other daughter.

It’s unclear what provoked the attack.

Police took the man into custody but no charges have been filed pending a homicide investigation.

Desrosiers remembered Bella Rose as “very resilient, very strong” — especially after the death of her husband, Ben, who committed suicide last July.

The tragic girl was known in the neighborhood for setting up a lemonade stand to raise money for the local children’s hospital.

The mom said her surviving daughter is “absolutely sad” over losing her best friend.
