An 8-year-old boy has been arrested in Florida for allegedly slashing the throat of a foster child and threatening to “kill everyone,” authorities said.

The violent incident began unfolding at around 4:25 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 10400 block of Calle De Flores Dr. in Clermont, where an 8-year-old boy assaulted and choked a 13-year-old boy, who is a foster child at the residence, according to an incident report obtained by The Post Tuesday.

After being throttled for about 10 seconds, the victim complained that he could not breathe and kicked the younger boy, forcing him to let go of the 13-year-old’s neck, a deputy wrote.

But when the victim approached the 8-year-old again later, trying to talk to him, the youngster allegedly grabbed a butter knife from the kitchen and cut the older boy’s throat.

A neighbor who was present was able to wrest the knife from the child and hand it to a woman who lives at the residence.

As the 8-year-old went looking for the weapon, he was quoted as threatening to “kill everyone,” according to the report.

Unable to locate the knife, the grade schooler allegedly grabbed a stick and tried to strike the victim with it, but other children witnessing the assault stopped him.

When Lake County sheriff’s deputies arrived, they said the 8-year-old was “crying” and begging them not to take him away.
As one of the officers attempted to place the boy in the back of a patrol car, the 8-year-old allegedly fought back and kicked him in the stomach. Eventually, deputies got the suspect under control and transported him to the Lake County Detention Center.

The 13-year-old foster child who had his throat slashed did not appear to be seriously hurt and was alert and responsive while being interviewed by cops.

A deputy speaking to the boy noted a 3-inch laceration on his neck. He was examined by a paramedic but refused transport to a hospital.

The suspect is facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery by strangulation, battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting a law enforcement officer.

The 8-year-old boy has not been named because he is a juvenile.
