An 8-year-old girl who became separated from her mother and sister during the suicide bombing at Ariana Grande’s Manchester show has been confirmed dead, according to local media.

The girl was identified as Saffie Rose Roussos, The Telegraph reported.

The headteacher (principal) at Tarleton Community Primary School in Lancashire, where she was a student, told The Guardian the news of her death was “a tremendous shock.”

“Saffie was simply a beautiful little girl in every aspect of the word. She was loved by everyone and her warmth and kindness will be remembered fondly. Saffie was quiet and unassuming with a creative flair,” said Chris Upton.

Saffie’s mother, Lisa, and older sister Ashlee reportedly were being treated at area hospitals for shrapnel injuries.

The bombing — set off in the foyer of the 21,000-seat arena just as Grande ended the show — killed 22 and left 59 people injured, including 12 under 16 years old.
