A 1-month-old baby and a 9-year-old girl were both shot in the head in separate incidents in violence-plagued Chicago this week, officials said.

A total of seven people — including the female infant — were struck by bullets when gunmen jumped out of an SUV and began firing on the city’s South Side on Thursday.

The baby remains in critical condition, police said, while the other victims had less serious injuries.

No arrests have been made in the case after the assailants fled the scene.

A 9-year-old girl also remained in critical condition after being shot in a drive-by just hours before while sitting in a car with a man who was also hit, cops said.

Police said those shooting suspects were traveling in a white SUV and remain at large, too.

The embattled city has seen a rash of 1,489 shootings this year as of June 27, ABC reported. That’s up 12 percent over the same period last year.

Cops said they’ve taken 5,901 guns off the street so far in 2021, or 26 percent over the same stretch last year. The haul includes 290 assault weapons.

David Brown, superintendent of the Chicago Police Department, said Thursday that officers are struggling with canceled days off and 12-hour shifts amid the shooting surge.
