WASHINGTON — President Obama is wild for broccoli — or so he says.

Asked what his favorite food was this week during a state dinner with kids, Obama, with a straight face, responded, “Broccoli.”

His declaration raised some eyebrows in DC and across the Twitterverse.

“Obama tells kid journalist his favorite food is broccoli. And his favorite activity is lying to children,” tweeted Comedy Central’s Indecision blog.
