The feathery intruder knocked over the Christmas star to make room for his sizeable hindquarters.
“I walked into our kitchen, and there was a huge owl sitting on our baby’s highchair,” homeowner Savannah Burgoyne told NBC Washington.
When she shooed it away, the owl flew to the top of the Christmas tree for a more fitting seat.
The barred owl was safely removed and released back into the

The six-year-old daughter was delighted by the owl’s presence, according to the outlet.

The bird of prey has a distinctive call — which some say sounds like a person saying the phrase “who cooks for you?”
