Aaron Hernandez is being kept in a segregated unit after a shiv was found in his Massachusetts prison cell, it was reported Saturday.

Guards found the prison-made weapon during a search of the former New England Patriots tight end’s cell, WHDH reported, citing sources.

Hernandez is serving a life sentence for the 2013 killing of semi-pro player Odin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancée.
