A top cop at a Florida sheriff’s office was demoted last week after she was caught on camera directing a deputy to act like a “white supremacist cop” and a “neo-Nazi cop” when pulling over a black man suspected in a 2017 murder, a report said.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Capt. Penny Phelps the former head of the major crimes and narcotics unit, was relieved of her command of the major crimes and narcotics unit Thursday for the remarks that she made in late November or early December, the Miami Herald reported.

Phelps’ comments were recorded by the body camera of a deputy who was in the same room.
