Adolf Hitler’s manifesto, “Mein Kampf,” has become an online hit, flying off the virtual shelves of iTunes and Amazon.com

Two versions of the anti-Semitic screed ranked 12th and 15th in the Politics & Current Events e-book section of iTunes, ABC News reports. It was No. 1 in Amazon’s Propaganda & Political Psychology section.

Chris Faraone, a journalist for the news website Vocativ, said readers prefer the anonymity e-books provide.

“Books that people would probably be a bit more embarrassed to read or display or buy in public, they are more than willing to buy on their Kindle or iPads,” he explained.
