WASHINGTON — White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer yesterday defended President Obama’s handling of the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi, Libya, consulate attack that killed four Americans, saying where his boss was on the night of the incident was “irrelevant.”

“The assertions from Republicans here that somehow the president allowed this to happen or didn’t take action is offensive,” Pfeiffer said on “Fox News Sunday.”
