Russian missiles are wreaking havoc on airlines well beyond the war zone in eastern Ukraine.

The European Aviation Safety Agency recently warned airlines of the risks of flying through Iranian and Iraqi airspace after Russian warships in the Caspian Sea fired long-range cruise missiles into areas held by ISIS in Syria.

“Before reaching Syria, such missiles are necessarily crossing the airspace above the Caspian Sea, Iran and Iraq . . . used by commercial transport,” the EASA said.
