Amber Heard has filed to appeal the jury verdict ordering her to pay Johnny Depp $10 million in damages in his defamation case against her, court records show.

Lawyers for Heard, 36, filed the “notice of intent to appeal” Thursday in Fairfax County, Virginia, court, records show.

She plans to appeal the verdict, a decision on post-trial motions and “all additional orders and rulings by the trial court,” the filing states. Her attorneys have until Sept. 4 to file the appeal motion laying out their arguments.

A Fairfax County jury sided with the 59-year-old “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor last month, finding that his ex-wife defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed piece on being a victim of domestic abuse.

While Heard never actually named Depp in the essay, his lawyers claimed the piece was clearly referring to her accusations that Depp abused her around their 2016 divorce.

The “Aquaman” actress won a $2 million jury verdict against Depp on one of her claims that he defamed her when his lawyer Adam Waldman claimed her allegations were a hoax.

Heard’s appeal comes on the heels of a judge denying her bid for a new trial on multiple grounds including a juror snafu that, she argued, prejudiced the outcome of the case.

In a statement Thursday, her team said it believes “the court made errors that prevented a just and fair verdict consistent with the First Amendment.”

“We are therefore appealing the verdict,” Heard’s reps said in a statement. “While we realize today’s filing will ignite the Twitter bonfires, there are steps we need to take to ensure both fairness and justice.”

Depp’s side, meanwhile, expressed continued confidence in their case.

“The jury listened to the extensive evidence presented during the six week trial and came to a clear and unanimous verdict that the defendant herself defamed Mr. Depp in multiple instances,” a spokesperson for the actor said in a statement.

“We remain confident in our case and that this verdict will stand.”

During the six-week trial, jurors heard wild allegations of abuse on boths sides including that following one March 2015 fight in Australia Depp lost the tip of his finger after Heard allegedly threw a vodka bottle at him.

She denied that she was responsible for severing his finger, claiming that in a drunken rage Depp hurt himself and sexually abused her with a bottle.

Depp sued Heard for $50 million while she countersued him for $100 million.

The jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. But in Virginia, there is a $350,000 cap on punitive damages, which lowered the award to $10.35 million.
